Accessibility statement

Updated November 2026

Our commitment

The Holy Kehillah of Berditchev wants every person, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this site easily and with dignity.

The site was rebuilt in 2026 following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and Israeli Standard 5568, and we work to meet level AA.

What we have done

  • A clear heading structure, with language and text direction set on every page, in Hebrew and English.
  • Full keyboard navigation, a visible focus indicator, and a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
  • Sufficient contrast between text and background, and readable type at a comfortable size.
  • Text descriptions for images that carry information.
  • Labels on every form field, and messages about sending and errors that screen readers announce.
  • Layouts that fit every screen size, and respect for the “reduce motion” setting.
  • All adjustments are built into the site itself, without an external accessibility plugin.

Known limitations

Some older images on the site still lack full descriptions, and we are completing them.

The PayPal, Cardknox and Meshulam payment pages are run by outside companies and are their responsibility.

Found a problem?

If something on the site isn’t accessible to you, please write to us and we’ll fix it as soon as we can. Let us know which page and what the problem is.
